Previously known as the Samsung Corby, the Samsung Genio Touch S3650 is a slender phone with a large touchscreen phone and a distinctive curved design. Weighing just 92g and measuring 12mm in depth, the Genio supports popular social networking sites including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The Samsung TouchWiz user interface lets users add interactive widgets to the home screen, providing one touch access to their favourite applications and tools. The Samsung Genio features a 2 megapixel camera, capable of photos with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and basic video recording. BlackBerry Storm2 9520

BlackBerry received mixed reviews last year for the original Storm, which was the first touchscreen BlackBerry device. The new BlackBerry Storm2 is exactly the same size as the original Storm, many of the issues have been addressed and BlackBerry have piled in even more technology, producing a fuller, smoother-running device, with an improved touchscreen.

Apps for Twitter and Facebook are pre-installed and photos can be uploaded directly from the phone. Business users will be happy too, with push email, calendar and contacts that are compatible with Microsoft Exchange, Novell Group Wise and Lotus Domino.

Samsung Tocco Lite black

The Samsung Tocco family has a new addition. The Samsung S5230 Tocco Lite lacks 3G and Wi-fi, but compared to the original F480 Tocco it’s lighter and it has a larger screen, now 3 inches with a higher resolution, gesture lock and handwriting recognition. The interactive TouchWiz interface lets you customise your home screen by dragging and dropping the widgets you use most. The 3.2 megapixel camera has smile detection, which means it will focus and then wait until your subject smiles before taking a picture. The web browser is also very good, although with only GPRS connectivity large pages could be slow to load, so only suitable for occasional use. The Samsung Tocco Lite is a fun phone and excellent value for money. It has a nice interface and good multimedia capabilities.
